Drama Tour - New York 2021

PLC Sydney Drama students in Years 10 and 11 have the opportunity to travel to New York as part of the biennial Drama Tour.  

The tour will participate in workshops at leading educational institutions across the city including - Upright Citizens Brigade, SiTi, The Acting Studio and The Lee Strasberg School. They will conduct Drama workshops with primary school students at the Neighbourhood Charter School, Harlem. Students will also attend a variety of Broadway, Off-Broadway and Improvisational performances.

Students have the opportunity to see a number of sites including 9/11 Memorial Museum, MoMA, Top of the Rock, Radio City Music Hall and Central Park. 

A morning Gospel Church Service at Covent Avenue Baptist Church in Harlem, will ensure this tour is an experience not to forget.

The aim of this tour is to foster a deeper appreciation and respect for theatre practitioners, drama (as a subject), live performance and processes involved in creating theatre

This tour is open to 2021 Year 10/11 Elective Drama Students only.

Information Evening

An Tour Information Evening will be held in the AKT from 6.00 pm in May 2020.  Parents and students will be notified closer to the event via PLACES.
