View PLC Sydney Preschools InformationOur students’ love of inquiry and learning in STEM starts in their junior years.
Whether that is learning about invertebrates, in the purpose-built geodesic dome, being a part of the 1 Million Turtles Community Conservation Program, within our dedicated Turtle Hatchery, or engaging in mini engineering challenges or developmental play, testing and refining Bee-Bot bridges, roads and structures, our girls are inspired and keen to get involved.
Students engage as critical and creative thinkers, they question and are ready to tackle challenges and solve problems.
Technology is embedded within the curriculum and is integral to everyday learning in our Junior School. Students use iPads and Chromebooks to access information and document their learning. We have interactive whiteboards in all classrooms, and students engage with a wide range of evolving technologies from web applications to leading-edge software and innovative tools.
The purpose built Junior Science and Innovation Technology labs, with specialist teachers, ensure students make real-world connections and learn from the best.
Our STEM teachers are experts in their fields and this reaps rewards. In the past four years, PLC Sydney has won more Young Scientist Awards than any other school in the state, with our Junior School students taking out a number of prestigious Sleek Geeks Science Eureka Prize awards.
