Did you know Panama hats were first made in Ecuador, perhaps as early as 4,000 BC? At PLC Sydney we can document them from photographs as early as 1904.

The PLC Sydney Archives was established in 1976.

The PLC Sydney Archives is available for research or study. Students, staff and members of the general public are welcome to visit the Archives to read and examine items of interest.

Today, the archives hold the following:

  • Student records 
  • School publications
  • College Council minutes and records
  • Photographic library
  • Memorabilia
  • School uniforms, objects, and artefacts
  • Architectural plans
  • Oral histories and recollections

​​The College continues to enhance its Archives with the acquisition of items that help complete collections. For donations to the school of items or information relating to PLC Sydney, its staff and students, including photos, programs, videos, student work or other documents suitable for the Archives, please contact the Archivist for further information.
