Dining and Food Options

The Boarders Dining Room is located directly below the Boarding House. This room is part of the heritage listed building and houses the portraits of all past Principals of the College. It is a showpiece in heritage school dining and the girls still enjoy meals across the original dining tables.

All meals are provided in this location and the Boarders are also able to access toasters, boiling and ice water, hot chocolate machine, microwave oven and a toasted sandwich maker during lunch hours.

Dinner during the week is a more formal occasion and the girls eat at set tables every night. This is an important time in the day as the students and staff come together over a meal to discuss the days activities and enjoys the company of fellow boarders.

Birthdays are celebrated over dinner and each boarder is able to choose the Desert for the night of her birthday. Great celebration is had either on the night of a birthday or close to it as possible.

PLC Sydney’s kitchen is serviced by a dedicated team of staff who prepare a wide variety of healthy meals. Mealtimes are considered to be an important part of the day and all students are required to attend.

The girls enjoy a monthly menu rotation that is checked by the Caterers' Dietician each term. The meals are designed around the seasons of the year and throughout the year we also host special event dinner for the Boarders.

Students requiring special food options such as: Vegetarian, Gluten free, Lactose free or allergies require a letter of explanation on enrolment or attached to the Medical Forms.
