Talented Year 12 Painters on display at Burwood Art Prize Opening 2022

On Friday 25 February the Burwood Art Prize opened to the public with a formal presentation of Prize Winners attended by Burwood Mayor, Councillor Mr John Faker. The exhibition showcased the talents of many of our talented Year 12 painters.

Congratulations to Angela Wu, whose work was recognised as Highly Commended in the Emerging Artist Section. Well done!

This year the Burwood Art Prize has expanded to offer the opportunity to submit artwork in the form of a painting or digital-still medium. The theme for this year's art prize is Burwood in the past, present or future. The exhibition will be on display until Wednesday 30 March. Exhibiting PLC Sydney students include: Lillian Stock -` Fenestrations of National Art School ’, Alex Sach -` Morning Veil ’, Angela Wu -` Preservation ’, Lucy Rader - ` Breakfast ’, Lara Marassa -` The Ground Beneath ’, Astrid Dickson -` The Entry ’ and Yehna Jeong -` Rebirth ’.

Thank you to Mrs Nicole Rader, Art & Design Assistant to The Croydon and exhibiting artists Alex Sach and Angela Wu who represented PLC Sydney on opening night which coincided with the opening of the Adelaide Perry Prize for Drawing at the College on the same evening.
