PLC Sydney awarded the 2022 ALIA (Australian Library and Information Association) Research Grant

Dr Tony Stojkovski and Dr Suzana Sukovic will begin a project exploring adolescents’ recreational substance use and epistemic well-being.

PLC Sydney is excited to announce that Dr Suzana Sukovic (Director of Research and Library Services) and Dr Tony Stojkovski (assistant to Head of Curriculum) have been awarded the 2022 ALIA (Australian Library and Information Association) Research Grant Award for a project exploring adolescents’ recreational substance use and epistemic well-being.

The project will support our understanding of factors influencing young people’s well-being, and the best ways to help them learn and make decisions to live a better life. The project will aid improvements in education and information services, which can positively influence the well-being of adolescents and young people. The study will have benefits for the information, education and health sectors.

Suzana has extensive research experience and published papers on a range of issues related to interactions with technology, learning and knowledge creation. Suzana founded ALIA LARK (Library Applied Research Kollektive) in 2012, promoting library and information practice-based research across the country and internationally.

Tony has research experience in technology and educational psychology and has used his knowledge and understanding in a variety of educational projects and products.

We look forward to a progress report on this research project later in the year.
