Perry Prize Judge Announced

Emeritus Prof Sasha Grishin, AM, to judge this year's prize.

Adelaide Perry Gallery is thrilled to announce that Emeritus Professor Sasha Grishin AM, FAHA, art historian, art critic and curator, has accepted its invitation to judge the Adelaide Perry Prize for Drawing in 2024.

Professor Grishin is the author of over 30 books about art, including Australian Art: A History, and wrote for The Canberra Times as art critic for forty-five years. He has delivered guest lectures at universities, art galleries and museums throughout Australia, Asia, North America and Europe including Harvard University, the Hermitage Museum, Beijing Central Academy and London University. It is an honour for the Gallery to have Professor Grishin’s participation in this capacity.

The $25.000 acquisitive Perry Prize is the premier event on the Adelaide Perry Gallery calendar, and the Gallery is now accepting entries from Australian artists through the online entry form.

Entries close 10 January 2024 and the Exhibition of Finalists will run from 24 February until 22 March.
