The Duke of Ed strongly reflects and reinforces the values at the heart of a PLC Sydney education. Through the program, students grow in grace as they recognise the support of others and develop humility and gratitude alongside increasing independence. They deepen their sense of reverence through challenge and reflection, gaining a greater appreciation of the world and the importance of respectful relationships. The Award also cultivates wisdom, as students set goals, persevere and reflect, building disciplined thinking and informed decision-making. A strong commitment to service underpins the program, encouraging students to act with compassion and contribute meaningfully to their communities. Supported by the School, each student’s journey is unique, building confidence, capability and character while developing skills to thrive beyond school.
