The Adelaide Perry Gallery invites you to experience the 2026 Perry Prize – Exhibition of Finalists, showcasing outstanding contemporary drawing practice from artists across Australia. Announcement of the 2026 winner will be made at the opening event: Friday 26 February, 7.00 pm. View the list of finalists here.
The Perry Prize is a $25,000 acquisitive award and one of the most significant prizes of its kind in the country. Inaugurated in 2006, the Prize honours the legacy of Miss Adelaide Elizabeth Perry (1891–1973) — respected painter, printmaker and draughtswoman, and Visual Arts teacher at PLC Sydney from 1930—1962.
Supported by the enduring generosity of the Parents and Friends’ Association, the Prize celebrates drawing as a dynamic and evolving art form and recognises artists whose practice highlights its expressive and technical breadth.
Each year, the exhibition of finalists presents a diverse and inspiring collection of works, offering audiences a rich range of subject matter and contemporary approaches to drawing. The exhibition also provides a valuable learning opportunity for PLC Sydney students and an engaging cultural experience for the wider community.
PLC Sydney and the Adelaide Perry Gallery gratefully acknowledge judge Scott Elliot, Assistant Curator, Australian Art, AGNSW, for his expertise and all artists who entered the Prize.
We warmly invite the community to visit the exhibition and celebrate the finalists of the 2026 Perry Prize.
Exhibition continues until 28 March 2026.
Gallery opens weekedays 8.00 am to 4.00 pm
