The heart of a PLC Sydney education is about encouraging you to flourish and be the best you can be.

Governance, Policies and Reports

PLC Sydney acknowledges the importance of good governance in all our undertakings.

The Role of College Council

The College Council is responsible for the overall governance of the College. It sets the strategic direction to ensure the College continues its long standing tradition of academic excellence.

Comprising approximately 15 members, the College Council is a combined council for both PLC Sydney and PLC Armidale. Council members are drawn from the College community and beyond, and offer a wealth of skills, qualifications and expertise.

Mrs Leah Russell is PLC Sydney's 11th and current Chairperson and the first woman elected.

The school reports an Annual Report to the Presbyterian Assembly.

Policies

Our policies ensure our students can safely grow and excel in all areas – academic, co-curricular, service learning, well-being, emotional and spiritual development.

School policies can be viewed and downloaded using the links on this page. Please note that this list is not exhaustive and policies are subject to update and amendments.

PLC Sydney adheres to the Child Safe Standards required of child-related organisations. This includes:

  • Child safety is embedded in institutional leadership, governance and culture
  • Children participate in decisions affecting them and are taken seriously
  • Families and communities are informed and involved
  • Equity is upheld and diverse needs are taken into consideration
  • People working with children are suitable and supported
  • Processes to respond to complaints of child sexual abuse are child focused

  • Physical and online environments minimise the opportunity for abuse to occur
  • Implementation of Child Safe Standards is continually reviewed and improved
  • Policies and procedures document how the institution is child safe.
