View PLC Sydney Preschools InformationPLC Sydney recently hosted its inaugural Creative Arts Assembly, a joyful celebration that showcased the talent, dedication and collaborative spirit of our students in Visual Arts, Drama and Music.
The Assembly brought together students from across year groups to share the outcomes of their creative learning. Highlights included compelling HSC performances in Drama and Music, alongside a live painting that responded in real time to the theatrical and musical works presented, a unique moment that captured the spontaneous, interconnected nature of the arts.
Jasmine Gifford (Art & Design Captain) and Euna Oh (Year 12 Visual Arts) created a live painting in response to the performances.
Adding to the occasion, Lucie Roberts (Class of 2019) returned to reflect on the profound impact her Creative Arts education has had since graduating. Having studied elective Drama and Music for the HSC and Visual Arts during Years 9 and 10, Lucie shared how her experiences in the Arts at PLC Sydney shaped her ability to problem-solve, think critically, collaborate, communicate with confidence, and lead with empathy—skills that continue to serve her well beyond the classroom.

The Assembly was led by our 2025 Creative Arts Captains, Holly Simon (Drama Captain), Jasmine Gifford (Art & Design Captain) and Emma Zhang (Music Captain), with a strong performance by Zoe Guard (Year 12 Drama) and Euna Oh (Year 12 Visual Arts). Holly performed one of her HSC vocal pieces, adding a moving highlight to the program. Their leadership and energy helped bring the event to life and highlighted the vibrancy of the Creative Arts community at PLC Sydney.

The feedback from staff and students alike was glowing, with many describing the Assembly as “inspiring” and “an amazing opportunity” to celebrate the richness and value of artistic education.
Congratulations to all involved in making this first Creative Arts Assembly such a meaningful success. We look forward to many more moments that champion imagination, expression and creativity.
