ARTEXPRESSION 2025

Wednesday 20 August saw Adelaide Perry Gallery buzzing with excitement as PLC Sydney hosted the closing celebration of ARTEXPRESSION 2025, showcasing the incredible HSC Visual Arts Bodies of Work. The evening celebrated the students’ creativity, dedication, and artistic achievements.

Dr Burgis (Principal), kicked off the evening with a warm welcome, praising students for bringing their exhibition to life and acknowledging the support of parents, families, and friends who have championed these young artists throughout the year.

A highlight of the evening was the handover from 2025 Art & Design Captain, Jasmine Gifford, to 2026 Captain, Edie Meisner. Jasmine reflected on her cohort’s challenges and triumphs, expressing admiration for her peers and gratitude for the support of teachers and The Croydon staff. In a touching moment, Edie presented Jasmine with a gift on behalf of the students and staff.

  • Captain’s Choice Award: Isabella Loo, presented by 2024 Art & Design Captain Anna Wang
  • Mr Paxton Award: Jasmine Gifford

The evening ended on a heartfelt note as HSC Visual Arts students Zoe Duarte, Delphi Robertson, Isabella Loo, and Jasmine Ronis thanked their teachers, presenting gifts to Ms Brown and Miss Gair in appreciation for their unwavering guidance.

ARTEXPRESSION 2025 was more than an exhibition, it was a celebration of creativity, resilience, and the vibrant community that supports PLC Sydney’s artists.
