As a school whose values are based on a Christian worldview, we celebrate our heritage alongside the breadth of tradition and culture of the Presbyterian Church in Australia.

For many years, girls of all faiths and backgrounds have arrived at PLC Sydney’s Croydon campus excited about the possibility of shaping their future and finding their place in the community.

The school is a ministry of the Presbyterian Church in Australia. As a Christian college, we respect and care for each girl as an individual, and we expect her to do the same for others.

School leaders and teachers are mediators, standing between the child and the universe, helping her to understand the nature of the universe and who she is whilst she lives within it.

PLC Sydney takes our twin roles of the discovery of knowledge and the growth of the person seriously. We build agency into our students in order that they take the lead in their own learning.

A PLC Sydney education enables girls to thrive and be the best they can be. We teach our students how to listen, how to voice their opinions and debate the important issues. After all, education is about engaging with and understanding big ideas, not just repeating knowledge.

For it is in giving that we receive.

Chaplaincy Programs

PLC Sydney is a school of the Presbyterian Church, and as such we celebrate our heritage alongside the breadth of tradition and culture of the Presbyterian Church in Australia.

As a school whose values are based on a Christian world view, our chaplaincy team aim to assist individual students’ develop and build their Christian faith, as they strive to be the best version of themselves, demonstrating reverence to God, wisdom in the world and service to others.

Our Chaplains speak at assemblies, workshops and regular chapel services. They are a dynamic and much loved team within our College community.

Students are able to develop their spirituality through both the curriculum and participation in co-curricular activities. Pre-Kindergarten to Year 10 participate in a Christian Studies program conducted by members of the chaplaincy staff, while our co-curricular program encourages participation and leadership in a number of Christian activities such as JAM, Fuel and Fuel 912 Leaders.
