Sydney Swim Club PLC
Sydney Swim Club PLC is an active, vigorous activity of the PLC Sydney Parents and Friends' Association (P&F). It was established to promote, teach and encourage swimming and life saving at the JD Oates Aquatic Institute.
Club members have the opportunity to swim at meets sanctioned by Swimming NSW and Australian Swimming, and at metro, state and national championships if they qualify. The club is a solid family and community based club catering for beginning to elite level swimmers.
Sydney Swim Club PLC is a parent-organised club run by an elected committee with assistance from PLC Sydney staff. The club is affiliated with Swim Club NSW and, as such, is an active participant in their events. It also raises funds to help support the attendance of member swimmers at various events. The club is open to all.
Short course club racing nights are held twice per term on Friday evenings at the JD Oates Aquatic Institute. Racing starts at 5.45 pm with 25 m to 100 m races in freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly events. There is also a barbecue.
