IPSHA CROSS COUNTRY
Thirty four PLC Sydney girls competed at the IPSHA Cross Country Championships at The Kings School on Saturday 1 April.
Two students produced outstanding individual performances and were rewarded with selection in the IPSHA Cross Country team to compete at the NSWCIS competition on Thursday 15 June. Congratulations to:
- Sofia Alvaro (Year 3) 15th in 8/9 Years
- Xanthia Coote (Year 5) 12th in 11 Years
Congratulations to the 16 of our 21 PLC Sydney teams who made the top four in their division this year. This is a huge achievement to have more than half of our teams make this level. Of those, we had 10 teams making the final and five taking out their division with a win.
The senior firsts, in the top division, came up against stiff opposition in their final with Abbotsleigh’s first representative players proving too strong. The Junior A’s, in the top junior division, were undefeated all season and continued to display their strength winning their final 5-0. Our 7 A’s, also in the top Year 7 division, won their final in a close encounter 3-2.

Unfortunately, the weather dramatically affected the 2017 Softball with the competition being called a washout. We did manage to get most teams three games and our Year 7A’s were undefeated setting a great base for 2018.
