Adelaide Perry Prize for Drawing 2017

issue0717-peoples-choice-awardPEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARD ANNOUNCED

Back in March, Adelaide Perry Gallery exhibited the works of 46 finalists in the annual Adelaide Perry Prize For Drawing and invited visitors to cast their vote for the People’s Choice Award, valued at $2000.

Melbourne based artist Melinda Schawel’s work Letting Go has been voted their favourite drawing. Schawel describes the work as reflective of ‘a microcosmic view and experience of nature’s delicate processes and could be described as a meditation on the nature of paper itself.’

Congratulations Melinda!
