1. What is PLACES?
PLACES (see image 1) is the new PLC Sydney Portal. It is an interface where a parent, staff member or student can access all the various online services PLC Sydney has to offer e.g. Edumate, Enable, Google Mail, Google Drive, My Timetable, Service Desk etc
Its goal is to bring together all our disparate communication (emails, sms, notes) into one PLACE.

2. What are Notices?
Notices (see image 2) is your tailored news bulletin and the means by which we alert you to upcoming announcements, send reminders, ask you to register for events, give permission for excursions etc.
It only shows information relevant to you and your daughter, or her area of interest. You can go back to check your Notices whenever you like. Notices live within PLACES (see image 2).
3. How do I view my Notices?
Notices are found by clicking on the Notice tile within PLACES (see image 1).
Your most important Notices are listed at the top of the page, while the remaining Notices are listed in order of their end date (most recent first).
Your coming week’s Notices can also be viewed in the Weekly Digest, sent on Fridays.
4. What is the Weekly Digest?
The Weekly Digest (see image 3) is an email which summarises your Notices and Calendar activities for the coming week. It is sent on Fridays and replaces the various emails that are sent from multiple sources.
5. Why don’t I see all my Notices in the Weekly Digest?
You will only see NEW Notices in your Weekly Digest. If you have already read a Notice within PLACES, it will NOT appear in your Weekly Digest.
6. Why can’t I see the Calendar on the website any longer?
The Calendar (see image 4) now lives within PLACES. It is PLC Sydney’s ‘source of truth’ for all events and activities held at the College and will, over time, contain all the information you need to know about any school activity, such as registrations, venues, transportation, student requirements etc.

7. How can I search for a particular Notice or Calendar activity?
To search for a specific Notice or Calendar activity click ctrl + F and a box will pop-up, then you can do a keyword search within that box e.g. Athletics. All Notices or Calendar activities that contain your keyword search will be highlighted in the text below.
