ADF Long Tan Award

📸Maria Psarris (Year 12), Dr Burgis, Lieutenant Sonia Clark (Class of 1998) and Ling Ling Lin (Year 10).

Lieutenant Sonia Clark (Class of 1998) returned to PLC Sydney recently, to help recognise two outstanding students who received the Australian Defence Force (ADF) Long Tan Awards for leadership and teamwork.

The senior recipient was Maria Psarris (Year 12)  and the junior recipient was Ling Ling Lin (Year 10).

The awards are unique in that they are non-academic, being presented to students in Years 10 and 12 who display strong values (such as doing one's best, respect for others and mateship), and are offered nationally to all schools. The award has provided the resources and inspiration for many recipients to further their studies in their chosen fields of interest.
