Congratulations to Stephanie Chew (Year 4) who won the Bronze award (joint third) in the Violin Solo (Junior A category) of the 2017 Singapore Raffles International Music Festival.

As a Rising Stars student of violin at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Stephanie's teacher entered her into the competition. This competition is a key component of the Raffles International Music Festival. Round one required Stephanie to submit a performance piece via video to be judged by an adjudication panel. From here, finalists are selected to compete in Singapore. In August, Stephanie travelled to Singapore to compete in the 4th annual Singapore Raffles International Music Festival 2017. Stephanie performed beautifully taking home the Bronze award (joint third) in the Violin Solo (Junior A category). This is a wonderful achievement and we congratulate Stephanie on her success.

Stephanie regularly competes in local and international music competitions for violin and piano and we look forward to watching her musical career develop.
