Basketball

issue1117-basketballAn impressive level of improvement by all PLC Sydney Basketball teams, in what was a challenging and exciting season of IGSSA basketball.

Our senior firsts found the going tough this year, with only one player remaining from the 2016 team. The girls really came together towards the end of the season and should be looking forward, with such a young side, to build on this progress in 2018.

The Junior A's  were moved into the very top Junior Division (J01) this year, after some great results in 2016. This side got a taste of what it is like to play top level Basketball, which was not only exciting to watch, it also had the girls improving at a rapid rate.

Our Year 7's are an impressive group of young girls, who worked hard all season.  We managed to enter an extra two teams in 2017, seeing our teams in most grades. The 7A's, first to the ball mentality, really shocked the teams as they finished the season undefeated in the 702 Division.

The 2017 stand out results were:

Senior 2's - 2nd
Senior 3's - 3rd
Junior B's - 1st (equal)
7A's - 1st
7B's - 4th
