da Vinci Decathlon

The da Vinci Decathlon is an academic tournament which brings together schools from around NSW to compete in challenges across a range of disciplines. These include English, Mathematics, Engineering, Science, Ideation, Creative Production, Code Breaking, General Knowledge, Cartography and Art and Poetry. Alyssa (Year 5) enjoyed Creative Producers saying, ‘We had to perform a court case using humour which was fun, but challenging.’
Selena (Year 6) reported, ‘da Vinci helped us meet new people, try new things and experience things that we would never have done if we hadn’t gone. It was a great opportunity to learn and be creative. We all had so much fun and we wouldn’t change a thing.’ Our Year 6 results were fantastic with the team placing 2nd in Science, 1st in Codebreaking and 3rd overall against the other 60 schools.

Year 5 and 6 had amazing results! The Year 5 team came 7th overall, 5th in Creative Producers and 6th in CodeBreaking while our Year 6 team placed 1st in Code Breaking, 2nd in Science and 3rd overall!
Year 5 Team: Chloe Sargiss, Chantel Sargiss, Mia Fildissis, Lucy Peter, Claire Van, Anastasia Watson, Alyssa Buda and Chloe Walker
Year 6 Team: Raehana Taoube, Eujiny Cho, Madeline Chang, Olivia Stavrakis, Olivia Thompson, Billie Ronis, Selena Read and Alexandra Reid Queeney
