Open Day and Fair 2016

Thank you to all the girls, their teachers and the parents and friends who came to watch the wonderful Musical performances at the  Open Day and Fair. The three venues dedicated to musical entertainment were buzzing with activity, leaving parents and friends very impressed. Thank you to all the soloists who played at the PLC Sydney High Tea in College Hall, including Alison Chen, Jennifer Xu, and Grace Zu and Christina Shi. Thank you to Mr Harper, Mr Barnwell, Mr Wishart and Mr Lambert for preparing and helping the bands perform for a solid four hours in the Science Amphitheatre. Thank you also to Mrs Mellor and the Handbells, Ms Clouston and Mrs Hamilton for all the choral items and to Mr ODea and Ms Curiel for organising all the string performances in the AKT.

PLC Sydney Pipes and Drums Albury Tour

On Saturday 14th May 11 students from the Pipes and Drums travelled to Albury for the Scots School's 150th Anniversary Celebrations which included a pipe band competition during the day and tattoo in the evening. The girls performed very well in the pipe band competition reaching a new, higher standard of performance. The evening tattoo was a grand spectacle including pipe bands, dance, brass and concert bands, special displays and fireworks.

Congratulations to the students Isabelle Hooton, Megan Casey, Maeve Kelaher, Nina Power, Alyssa Shields, Gwendalyn Dabaja, Claudia Adams, Emily Alexander-Wood, Lucy Berrell, and Eliza Martin.

Extra special mention goes to Vanessa Kwa who battled illness on the Friday and managed to power through, flying down to the group on Saturday morning and boosting the group in its performance!

Lastly, thanks to Mrs Annie Martin for accompanying the girls and the various parents who came along to support the team and t
hanks to Mr Mark Lambert for his continuing support.
