International Science and Engineering Fair

connections-issue0816-maddy2-thCongratulations to Madeleine Maloof in Year 11 who represented Australia at the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (Intel ISEF) in Phoenix, Arizona, last week. Maddy received third place in the American Dental Association special awards ceremony for her research on Dental Whitening and Enamel Loss.

Intel ISEF is the world’s largest international pre-university science competition, with approximately 1700 high school students from more 75 countries, regions, and territories being awarded the opportunity to showcase their independent research. Maddy earned the right to compete at this competition after receiving third place at the 2016 BHP Billiton Science and Engineering Awards earlier this year.
