Newington nabs another win in this year's Carlton Cup
The eighth annual Carlton Cup for Theatresports was held in the Audrey Keown Theatre on Wednesday 9 May. Drama students from PLC Sydney, Newington College and The Scots College bravely took to the stage to perform a series of improvised scenes. This type of scene work can be very daunting and takes a great deal of skill, quick wit, trust and team work. There were many highlights throughout the night as the teams created over-the-top characters, thoroughly entertaining the large audience. In the end, Newington College, once again, took home the trophy.
We would like to thank the staff and students from Newington and Scots for attending the event. Special congratulations must also go to our School Captain, Lucy Rowse, who was named ‘Most Valuable’ Theatresports player for the second year in a row.
