Impressions of Spring

Impressions of Spring, a bright and bold display of works by students past and present of PLC Sydney’s Transition program, was officially opened at 6.30 pm Wednesday 31 August 2016 at Adelaide Perry Gallery. Featuring painting, drawing, collage and ceramic pieces, the works on exhibition paid homage to the incoming season celebrating renewal and new growth through expressive use of colour, line and composition.
The evening was formally opened by exhibiting artists Lauren Webber and Ellen Brant who expressed their love of art and thanked their teachers Mr Hetherington and Miss Underwood for inspiring them in the classroom.
Curator of the Gallery, Ms Jo Knight announced that a celebration of artwork created by the College’s Transition students will be an annual feature in the Adelaide Perry Gallery exhibition calendar. She thanked Lauren and Ellen for their public speaking efforts and presented Ms Isabella Hayek with flowers to thank her for all her support in making the evening a success.
