40 Hour Famine at PLC Sydney

In preparation for the 40 Hour Famine almost 30 PLC Sydney students from Year 11 completed a training session with Claire from World Vision. The target was to raise $15 000 to support the great work this organisation undertakes in developing countries. With a lot of inspiration, drive and gusto the committee set out to achieve their goal. They baked, took collections after assemblies, sold ribbons and signed up as many students as possible to complete the 40 Hour Famine.

A huge congratulations goes to Year 7 and Year 8 who raised a significant amount of money. To date, all year groups combined have raised over $20 000 which is incredible! The final figures will be announced at the first assembly in Term 4. Thank you to everyone who participated in the famine, to those who donated and to those who provided the necessary moral support for those going without.

There’s still time to donate so head over to our PLC Sydney Year 11 & 12 40 Hour Famine page, you have until 30 September 2016.
