issue1216-alumni-news-thCongratulations to Ellen Dedes-Vallas (class of 2010), winner of the 2016 ASTRA Award for Rising Star (oustanding individual aged under 30).

On Thursday 28 July, the Australian subscription television industry announced winners of the 2016 ASTRA Industry Awards, celebrating outstanding achievements by individuals and channels in Sydney. 

Ellen Dedes-Vallas, who works for the pay tv children's station, Nickelodeon, as a Junior Producer, won the 2016 ASTRA Award in the 'Rising Star' category.

Back in 2010, as a Year 12 Drama student at PLC Sydney, Ellen was nominated for OnSTAGE for her Individual Performance. OnSTAGE is an event presented by the Board of Studies and features outstanding Drama performances from the HSC.

It's fabulous to see she is doing so well.
