PLC Sydney Guitar and Vocal Concert

issue1815-music-cafeOn Tuesday 24 November, many of the PLC Sydney vocal and guitar students performed to a packed house at the Strand Café in Croydon. This was an initiative of teachers Iian Brown and Liz Birrell, and thanks must go to the Strand Café for opening up their doors to our students. It was a wonderful opportunity for the students to perform in public, even if it was only 100 metres from the school gates, and for parents to enjoy sipping on a latte while listening to their daughters perform.

The students involved were Matilda Horton (Year 4), Monique Saad, Annalise Giezekamp, Rose Bouwman and Valentina Quiroga (Year 6), Katia Nastasi, Anna Dowling and Allira Hammond (Year 7), Jess Wong and Abbey Lindsey (Year 8), Giulia Pomare, Ruby Phillips and Lucy Yabsley (Year10), and Kathy Tran (Year 12).

The girls must be congratulated on what was a very pleasant and enjoyable afternoon of entertainment, which is sure to become an annual event.
