Dear Year 6 Families and Teachers, the Junior School Staff and the broader PLC Sydney Community,
Five months have passed by and it is only now that I feel I can try and put some words together to express our feelings.
There really are no words to describe the pain and sense of loss that you have when a loved one passes away. It is just devastating, overwhelming and you wonder how you will even get through it. Whilst a piece of our heart is now missing and life will never be the same again, we are slowly coming to terms with the loss and readjusting our lives. We have tried to keep life a little normal and routine and with the support of the school, teachers and other staff and friends, we have been able to do this and it has meant the world to us. It has given me great comfort knowing that Lauren has been and continues to be enveloped in your love and care, which has helped her in being able to cope a little and feel some comfort.
There really are also no words to describe how truly thankful and forever grateful we are for the love, support and generosity that we have had all around us. It has been truly incredible and so touching – such genuine warmth, care and concern has been shown to us – it will always be remembered. You have all been amazing. Thank you for being there for us. We feel very blessed to be around such wonderful people and part of such a supportive and caring community.
Jodie, Brooke and Lauren Flint
