Students from the Fuzhou Hualun Middle School and Angel English School in Jiaxing, Jiangsu Province, China recently visited PLC Sydney as part of their Australian tour. Tour organiser Michele Zhuang provided the following reflection of their time at the school:

Dear Dr Burgis,

I am deeply appreciative of your and Mrs Pollett’s precious time and hospitality to show our students’ group from China around PLC Sydney’s beautiful campus on Friday 21 August 2015.

The group consisted of 65 senior school students from Fuzhou Hualun Middle School (http://www.fzhlzx.com.cn/), and 18 Junior school students from Angel English School in Jiaxing, Jiangsu Province (http://www.angelenglish.com/about.asp). They were selected from the top performing students.

The wonderful old trees and beautiful gardens, College Hall, Marden Heritage Centre, Macindoe Research Centre, Performing Arts Centre, J D Oates Aquatic Institute and, in particular, the warm welcome from everyone at the College, impressed all the students, teachers and Principal of the Angel English School, Ms Angela Wu.

We were also delighted to be accompanied by Ex-Student Betty Fei on our tour of the school. Her strong sense of school pride and excellent academic record has set a wonderful example for our students.

PLC Sydney’s long-held philosophy of providing an education with a global focus and environment in which the development of the whole person is paramount, would appeal to like-minded parents in China.

As a mother of two young boys, who came to Australia 12 years ago as an international student and graduated with a Master’s degree from UNSW, I can personally relate to PLC Sydney’s aim of cultivating young women of integrity and purpose. In the same spirit, our company's goal is to provide quality educational study and musical tours for Chinese and Australian students, which also foster meaningful cultural exchanges between our countries.

We feel privileged to have seen the learning environment of PLC Sydney. We hope that in the near future, we may have the opportunity to welcome you and your students to Fuzhou Hualun Middle School and Angel English School as part of a cultural exchange tour to China.
