'Drawing the Line' Exhibition

Invitation to Participate

Issue 1115_Drawing_Deborah Beck ShelfAll students and staff are invited be a part of an exciting drawing exhibition to be held at Adelaide Perry Gallery this year in Term 4 (8 -23 October) opening on 8 October at 7.00 pm.

During Term 3 students and staff across the Junior and Senior Schools have the opportunity to complete a drawing on a postcard sized piece of paper that will later become part of an installation to mark the occasion of Ten Years of the Adelaide Perry Prize for Drawing.

Inside the Gallery, the hundreds of drawings will be installed alongside the work of three prominent Sydney artists with diverse approaches to the discipline of drawing: Tom Carment, Deborah Beck and Todd Fuller. The winners of the Drawing Prize from the last ten years will be on display in The Croydon corridor.

I encourage everyone to be a part of this exciting event! The drawings may be in any style and of any subject, however, all must have one definitive line that is visible from one side to the other as this will be used to make a continuous line throughout the exhibition. To participate in the exhibition come to The Croydon to collect your sheet of paper with instructions for the project or ask your classroom art teacher.
