2015 HSC Design Exhibition
Now open at Adelaide Perry Gallery until Friday 24 July is an exhibition of this year’s HSC Major Projects by students of Design and Technology and Textiles and Design.
The PLC Community filled the Gallery to view the works at the official opening on Monday 20 July. Class of 2014 Textiles and Design students Elise Crimmins and Sophia Chrysanthos returned to the Croydon to officially open the event. The pair congratulated the current class on their efforts and spoke about some of their own achievements in their tertiary studies this year.
Head of Technological and Applied Studies, Ms Jo Herrmann, continued the official proceedings with presentations of awards to the following students for consistent effort and commitment to the design process in their 2015 studies: Alexia Morelli, Unjelique Hajjar, Ana Jandagi and Vanessa Young of Design and Technology; Unjelique Hajjar, Alice Shui and Hannah Green of Textiles and Design. Ms Herrmann also took the opportunity to warmly thank Art and Design Captain Unjelique Hajjar for her exceptional contribution at The Croydon over the past twelve months.
Presentations of thanks were then made to teachers Ms Nadine Emans (Design and Technology) and Mrs Maria Nastasi (Textiles and Design) by Carla Papadimatos and Hannah Green respectively, on behalf of their classes.
Art and Design Captain, Unjelique Hajjar, also made special thanks to family, friends and The Croydon staff for their support of the girls in their endeavours this year.
The HSC Design Exhibition 2015 is open daily 8.30 am – 4.00 pm and concludes midday on Friday 24 July. All welcome.
