PLC Sydney has narrowly missed out on winning this year’s Carlton Cup Theatresports competition. Now in its seventh year, the annual battle of words and wit saw teams from PLC Sydney, Newington College and The Scots College compete for the top prize.

In the end Newington College was victorious with only a few points separating the two teams.

Congratulations also go to PLC Sydney Year 11 student Lucy Rowse, who was named ‘Most Valuable Theatresports Player’.

Theatresports involves scene work that takes a great deal of collaboration, skill and trust. All teams delighted the audience as they sang, skipped and swooned their way through improvised love stories, operas and open scenes.

We would like to extend our thanks to the students, staff and parents of Newington and Scots who attended the event and helped to make it such a fun and enjoyable evening. We look forward to welcoming them back in Term 1, 2016.
