2016 Gap Program in Italy
Thinking of a career in fashion design – think MITA!
A very exciting opportunity has become available for PLC Sydney students.
PLC Sydney has a unique partnership with MITA (Made in Tuscany Academy) the training organisation in Florence, Italy that provides designers and fashion engineers to Gucci and other leather goods firms.
MITA is highly successful in introducing Italian students to the world of design. Twenty-five local students access the two-year course each year, with 98 per cent of their graduates going on to careers in fashion and design.
As part of developing an international aspect to their course, MITA is targeting PLC Sydney graduates as their primary initial focus. As a result, in 2016 there will be four places available for a six-month gap program that will not only inspire and open our students to the world of Italian fashion, but also result in a certificate from MITA.
