Shakespeare Carnival Highlights Depth of Talent in Performing Arts
Friday 31 March 2017 saw the inaugural PLC Sydney Shakespeare Carnival kick off with a bang! The night was a great success and highlighted the depth of talent PLC Sydney has to offer in the Performing Arts.
Many of the performances were making their debuts, be it the PLC Sydney Double Reed Consort created by Mr Barnwell, the Medieval Players created by Miss Curiel, or the new ideas that very rarely have the opportunity to feature in performance such as Dance, Classroom Music and Improvised Shakespeare.
The winners for each category were discussed at great length and congratulations goes to:
- DRAMA DUOLOGUE - Much Ado about Nothing featuring Yashica Moodley (Year 10) and Alex Raleigh (Year 10)
- DRAMA GROUP - Julius Caesar featuring Louisa Williamson (Year 12), Sophia Morrison (Year 12) and Scarlett Wynne (Year 12)
- MUSIC - Sonnet featuring Hemans Chan (Year 10), Gabrielle Hawkey (Year 10), Tegan Neowhouse (Year 10), Sophie Montague (Year 10), Sophie Bounds (Year 10) and Phoebe Ng (Year 10)
