PLC Sydney has achieved excellent results in both Swimming and Diving at this year's IGSSA Championships.

The Swimming team came agonisingly close to defending their championship title at the IGSSA Swimming Carnival on Thursday 9 March. Racing neck and neck with Abbotsleigh and Pymble it was a terrific contest with many swimming their personal best times on the day. PLC Sydney finished in second place with 401 points, just half a point behind Abbotsleigh!

Congratulations to the Junior Medley Relay team of Donna Choi (Year 8),  Jasmine Tran (Year 9), Anna Lee (Year 7) and Paige Jones (Year 7) who broke the IGSSA record in their gold medal win.

The Senior Medley Relay also delivered gold courtesy of Karli Musarra (Year 11), Lauren Mc Dougall (Year 11), Isabella Jobling(Year 12) and Chloe Yoo (Year 12).

The All Age Relay team ended the day in style with a gold medal to Emily Yoon (12 Years), Paige Jones (13 Years), Alexandra McDougall (14 Years ), Samarah Melia (15 Years), Sarah Waugh (16 Years) and Megan McConnell (17+ Years).

Individual standout performances saw gold medal wins for:

A highlight of the day was Lauren Flint (Year 8) taking out the Intermediate Champion at just 14 years of age.

Congratulations to Gabrielle O’Dea (Year 7), Chloe Chau (Year 8), Stephanie Pholi (Year 9) and Eleanor Smith (Year 10) who placed second in the team event.
