PLC Sydney mascot makes her debut at IPSHA Swimming and Diving Carnival

issue0517-ipshaSmart, strong and swift. These are the characteristics the SRC used to describe the new PLC Sydney mascot they have chosen, a Scottish fox. The mascot made her debut to an excited crowd at the 2017 IPSHA Swimming and Diving Carnival at Olympic Park Aquatic Centre on Tuesday 7 March.

The day was a tremendous success with many students achieving personal bests and gaining some valuable experience. All students are to be commended for their wonderful show of sportsmanship.

The Senior Relay was one of the highlights of the day with Mia Fildissis (Year 5), Saskia Paoli (Year 6), Caitlin Oeser (Year 6) and Tidarat McLachlan (Year 6) placing third.

In the Diving, Rose Tan (Year 3) placed 1st in the 8 Years Springboard with Emily Webb (Year 6) placing 2nd in the 11 Years Springboard and 4th in the Open Platform.

Congratulations to the following students who were selected to represent IPSHA at the 2017 NSWCIS Championships: Rose Tan, Stephanie Chew and the Senior Relay for swimming; and Rose Tan, Emily Webb, Amy Somboli (Year 4) and Naomi Webb (Year 4) for Diving. We wish them all the best for next Thursday 23 March.
