Inheritance – The 2017 Drama Company Production - opening soon
Every family is unique. They have their own quirks, traditions, values, conflicts and connections. Some families we are born with, others we forge ourselves.
The 2017 inaugural Drama Company Production – Inheritance will explore the joyful, harrowing and loving aspects of living within a family.
Inheritance combines scripted work from some of the most influential plays of the theatrical cannon including, King Lear, The Glass Menagerie, Antigone and A Streetcar Named Desire. As well as this scripted material, students have developed a stunning large scale movement piece, songs and verbatim projects developed from community interviews. We are also extending this production out into the newly renovated foyer to create an experiential exhibition using special family objects and photographs. This exhibition will also involve a photographic essay by Year 12 Art student Victoria Hu that has documented our unique development process over the last six months.
We guarantee that the PLC Sydney community have not seen anything quite like Inheritance.
