Students win gold at NSW Athletics Championships
Congratulations to Bronte Prentice (Year 7), Sarah Clifton-Bligh (Year 8), Haley Mills (Year 8), Emily Moloney (Year 8) and Abigail Stevanovic (Year 10), who competed for their respective clubs at the 2017 Athletics NSW Junior and Youth Championships, held at Sydney Olympic Park from 3– 5 February.
Abigail won both her events, claiming two state titles, the U16 90m Hurdles and the U16 200m Hurdles. Emily won gold in the U15 2000m Steeplechase. Sarah won gold in all seven of her events, the U16 Para Athlete Wheelchair – 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, Javelin, Shot Put and Discus.
Sarah, Emily and Abigail will now compete at the Australian Junior Athletics Championships from 26 March to 2 April 2017.
