Competition Dates

  • Snow Sports Information Evening: Tuesday 27 March at   6.00 pm in McQueen Seminar Room
  • Junior (Years 5 & 6) and Senior (Years 7 to 11) Snow Sports Camp: 30 June - 5 July 
  • Regional Championships: 16 - 21 July at Perisher
  • Elite Snow Sports Development Camp (ESDP): 22 July - 9 September
  • NSW State Championships: 21 - 26 August at Thredbo
  • National Championships: 5 to 9 September at Perisher
Race Time

Race days from 7.00 am – 1.00 pm approximately, depending upon weather.

Uniform

PLC Sydney ‘Where’s Wally’ Jersey is compulsory for ALL presentation ceremonies. PLC Race Suits will be provided for A teams in Alpine events.

Equipment

Snow gear, goggles, ski jacket, ski pants, poles, helmet*, ski boots/snowboard boots and skis/snowboard are the athlete's responsibility.
*Australian standard helmets are compulsory AT ALL TIMES.

Transport & Accommodation

Own arrangements must be made and a car pool system arranged amongst team members can be a great idea. Accommodation, transport, food, lifts and lessons are provided for all camp participants.

Arrival on Race Day

Arrive at least 40 minutes prior to course inspection time. Please contact your team manager prior to race day to organise bib collection.

Poor Weather

All races will be on at all times and changes will be posted regularly at http://nsw.interschools.org.au or by liking NSW Interschool Snowsports on facebook. 

Venues

All camps are held through the Jindabyne Sport and Recreation Centre and activities are on snow at Perisher.

  • Sydney Regional Championships – Perisher  2018
  • NSW State Championships – Thredbo 2018
  • National Championships – Perisher 2018

Training & Camps

Fitness Training is compulsory and begins Week 1 of Term 2. To be eligible for a PLC senior pocket, attendance at one session per week is essential.
Snow Sports Camps: Development Camps are open to beginners, intermediate and experienced skiers and boarders.

Absenteeism

If unable to attend or make training, a note of explanation must be given to your sports coordinator prior to absenteeism.

Cost

$180 for Term 2 and Term 3.
This amount will be billed to students’ school fees account.
NOTE - There are additional costs for:

  • Race entries
  • Registration
  • Camp Fees
  • Lessons
  • ESDP
