Donate Items

GIFT BASKET GOODS

To make the gift baskets interesting and enticing, each year group has been allocated a theme. Please note you are not restricted to this theme. Feel free to donate anything you think is suitable.  

We kindly ask that donations are loose items (not made up hampers). These items will be assembled into beautiful gift baskets by parent volunteers in the week prior to the Open Day and Fair.

NB We cannot accept Easter eggs or alcohol and please ensure all food items have an expiry date of no less than three months.

ITEMS FOR DONATION:

Pre-K and Kindergarten - Sweet Tooth e.g. chocolates, sweet treats, lollies, cookies, biscuits, jams etc (no Easter eggs please) 
Years 1 & 2 - Relaxation e.g. pamper packs, scented candles, essential oils, bath salts, body lotions, perfumes, hand creams, facial masks, bath bombs, specialty soaps etc
Years 3 & 4 - Tea/Coffee Break e.g. tea cups, mugs, herbal teas, gourmet coffee and teas, tea pots, storage canisters, tea infusers, chocolates, biscuits etc 
Years 5 & 6 - MasterChef e.g. all things gourmet including non-perishable food items, gourmet condiments, aprons, oven mitts, recipe books, specialty ingredients, jams, preserves, sauces, infused oils, spices, vinegars, gluten free items etc
Years 7 & 8 - Kitchen e.g. cookware, kitchenware, tea towels, recipe books, notebooks, stationary, utensils, china, baking accessories, baking trays, cooling racks, chopping boards, measuring spoons, measuring cups etc

COLLECTIoN OF DONATIONS:

  • Evandale & Hamilton - Items can be placed in boxes outside/inside each classroom from Tuesday 1 May until Thursday 10 May
  • Senior School - Please take items to the Senior School Staffroom from Tuesday 1 May until Thursday 10 May
  • Large items - A special collection point will be at the Roundabout from Monday 7 May

CAKE STALL GOODS

Support the PLC Sydney Open Day and Fair with a contribution towards the Cake Stall. We will be offering prizes for the best decorated cakes. There will be a class prize awarded to the Evandale and Hamilton classes who provide the most cakes. There are also individual prizes for the Best Decorated Cake from Evandale and Hamilton. If you would like to enter your cake in the competition, please write the student’s name and class on the cake box.

  • Cake boxes will be distributed to all girls and we would appreciate your donation of any cakes, slices or biscuits.
  • Due to allergies in the school community we do ask that donations do not include nuts. All donations should include a list of ingredients on the outside of the cake box.
  • If you would like to make additional donations, spare cake boxes will be available from the offices at Evandale and Hamilton.
  • Cakes should be delivered to the Boarders' Veranda on Friday 12 May prior to the start of school. We will also accept cakes on the day. Cakes that require refrigeration should be delivered on the morning of the Open Day and Fair. 

SECOND HAND GOODS

  • Second-hand books, CDs and DVDs - The Second-hand Book Stall are collecting items for sale from Wednesday 26 April. Please drop off any donations to the Boarder's Veranda (in boxes).
  • Second-hand ski and snowboard items - We offering tables to families who have second-hand ski equipment and clothing for sale. If you would like to sell any items please contact Mel Johnston at mjohnston@plc.nsw.edu.au
  • Second-hand vintage wares- If you have vintage china, pottery, linen, cases, wooden picture frames, vintage and antique jewellery, please contact Cathee McAllum at cmcallum@plc.nsw.edu.au

HANDI CRAFT GOODS

Calling all crafters! We are seeking donations of handcrafted items for our Handi Craft Stall: Papercraft, Pottery, Jewellery, Knitting, Crochet - all handcrafted items will be happily received. Please contact Michelle Ladkins at michelleladkins@gmail.com
