Red Dress Literary Tour 2020
The English and Cambridge Departments are getting serious about our 2020 England tour, so get your red dress out. The Literary Tour will go ahead in 2020 and we are looking for expressions of interest right now!
This tour is recommended for 2020 Year 9, 10 and 11 students (current 2019 Year 8, 9 and 10).
Integrity and purpose: Bring your novels for Term 4 2020 and we can help you read and understand them. We also need a blogging team and a film crew to record our journey. And remember, we are travelling with a UK native, Mr Gibson, so he can help us to access the culture and understand the locals.
Proposed Tour Dates:
- Day 1: Saturday 26 September 2020 - depart Sydney
- Day 17: Monday 12 October 2020 - arrive back in Sydney
PROPOSED itinerary:
- The trip will include tours, top quality talks and performances around England; from the Lakes Districts to the Bronte moors; from Shakespeare’s Stratford on Avon to the London Globe; from Austen’s Bath to the London Eye; from Woolf’s Bloomsbury neighbourhood to the Edinburgh castle; from a punt around Cambridge University to an afternoon (shopping) in Covent Garden!
