PLC Sydney has a proud sporting history and boasts a number of former Olympians among our alumni. The College has a comprehensive program that caters for participants from beginner level to elite.
Competitive sport is available and encouraged to all Senior School students. Year 8 students are required to participate in at least one term of sport. Through our membership to IGSSA and IPSHA all girls from Years 3–12 can participate in a range of sporting pursuits.
Saturday sport is a graded competition that is played on Saturdays mornings during term time at members’ schools and public venues throughout Sydney. It is divided into the following divisions: Year 7's, Juniors (Years 8 and 9), and Seniors (Years 10, 11 and 12).
Representative opportunities exist through the IPSHA, IGSSA and NSWCIS pathways.
The Talented Individual Performer (TIP) Program is aimed at highly talented individuals from Years 7–12 who are participating in their chosen sport or activity at an elite level which necessitates extraordinary interruptions to school life. It is aimed at sporting, musical, cultural and specialist academic endeavours. The program is designed to help your daughter through her time at PLC Sydney and offer her assistance to meet both her academic and sport/activity commitments and expectations.
Senior School students can become involved in the following sports:
