Co-curricular Colours

PLC Sydney recognises students for their high achievement and/or extended dedication to various co-curricular activities over many years.  The awards are currently available to Year 7, 8  and 11.

Participation

Students that have earned 60 points for a co-curricular area are recognised with a white Participation Co-curricular Colour. Five points per term are awarded for most activities and two points for Clubs.  There are six Participation Co-curricular Colours that recognise long term participation in the following areas:

  • Clubs
  • Drama
  • Music
  • Oratory
  • Service
  • Sport

Achievement

Red Achievement or Co-curricular Colours are awarded for excellence in individual activities such as selection in the Firsts or if they win a Grand Final or a member of a premier group (for Music) or a lead role in Drama for a highly commended performance or improvement.  For activities where there is no competition, awards are nominated to the Director of Co-Curricular Activities. 

For higher level, representative achievement (at IGSSA, CIS or State), students are awarded a badge with the level included.

International Blazers

International Blazers are awarded to students who compete at high level international competition such as the Commonwealth Games, Olympic Games or Australian Youth Team.

Red Colour Awards are given for the following achievements:

Commendable performance in a lead role in a major College production. By nomination; numbers may be limited.
