Location and Transport

Drop off circle PLC Sydney is located in Croydon in Sydney’s Inner West and stands on five hectares of historic grounds and gardens. The College is situated within fifteen minutes of Sydney’s central business district, Sydney University, the University of Technology and the Australian Catholic University. Homebush, the site of the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, is ten minutes west. PLC Sydney is well served by public transport, being situated adjacent to Croydon railway station.

The central location of PLC Sydney attracts students from a broad range of areas including Sydney’s inner-west, the centre of Sydney, the northern suburbs, the north shore, the shire and southern suburbs, the eastern suburbs, country New South Wales and overseas.

By Train
Croydon railway station is only two stops from Strathfield railway station which is a major interchange for travellers coming from all of the above locations. Students travelling from southern areas travel to Redfern and change trains for Croydon, while those travelling from the eastern suburbs change at Town Hall.

By Car
PLC Sydney is in close proximity to Parramatta Road, Victoria Road and the Cross City Tunnel, providing easy access from Sydney’s east, west and north.

Parents are required to have their daughters at the pick-up point at least ten minutes prior to the approximate time of departure, although occasional adverse traffic conditions may delay arrival at each stop.

The cost for this service in 2010 is $370-$500 per semester, depending on the route. The fee is reviewed at the end of each school year and will be charged to the student’s semester account, once they begin using the service.

Seats are limited and are allocated on a ‘first in, first served’ basis. A place cannot be guaranteed. Parents must make an application each semester for a seat on the bus for their daughter.
